Make a Green Tea, almond and blueberry smoothie
- 2 Pure Green Tea bags
- 175ml boiling water
- 300g frozen blueberries
- 350g fat free vanilla yoghurt
- 2 tbsp roasted unsalted almonds
- 2 tbsp flax seeds
Steep the tea bags in boiling water for 4-5 minutes, before removing the tea bags. When you’re ready for this tasty smoothie, simply blitz all of the ingredients in a blender until smooth. Serve fresh in a tall glass with ice if you like.
Fuel your morning with Green Tea soaked oats
Infuse your morning oats with a blast of antioxidants. Simply brew a Pure Green Tea bag in slightly cooled freshly boiled water, then mix it with your favourite instant oats and prepare as you normally would.
Bake Green Tea Banana Bread
- 3 large ripe bananas
- 150g white sugar
- 75g melted butter
- 1 lightly beaten egg
- 250g plain flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- contents of 2 Pure Green Tea bags
Preheat oven to 190°C and lightly grease a loaf tin. Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl before stirring in the sugar, melted butter and egg. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and Pure Green Tea. Combine the two mixtures and stir until fully blended. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf tin and bake for 45-50 minutes (or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.) Let the bread cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
Make a naturally sweet green tea marinade
Brew several Pure Green Tea bags in slightly cooled freshly boiled water, then thicken the liquid with a touch of honey, salt and pepper . Pour over chicken or vegetables and cook as desired.
Stew fruit for tea-riffic flavours
Simmer whole pears or apples in Pure Green Tea, adding brown sugar, honey and spices for a sweeter taste. You’ll end up with tender fruit that has been infused with the delicious flavour of our Pure Green Tea.
